Establishment of two new shopping malls accelerates economic prosperity

BALANGA CITY, Bataan – This historic Bataan peninsula is fast developing into a huge commercial and educational nucleus  in western Central Luzon area with the proposed construction of two multi-billion peso  worth mega malls located in the heart of this component city.

Engr. Manuel N. Beltran, Bataan Sangguniang Panlalawigan (SP) member and chairman of two committees in the provincial legislative body, Committee on Environment and Natural Resources and Committee on Peace and Order and Public Safety, has predicted productive economic trend and financially viable investment phase in local scenario with such enormous business outlay.

The establishment of the two-largest mixed-use shopping malls in country, SM and Robinson, would generate big employment opportunities in retailing and service–oriented business outlook, more revenues, and other integrated investment prospects for the growing population.

Board Member Beltran explained that a number of locators from Metro Manila and Central Luzon are focusing their feasibility studies on the critical issue on efficient distribution and marketing of saleable products, fiscal and non-fiscal incentives and other advantages before taking a more aggressive stand.

The proposed plan to build two-multifaceted commercial complexes in the capital town is a big step toward the attainment of the socio-economic development scheme of Governor Albert Raymond S. Garcia to make the province an eco-industrial hub in Central Luzon, Board Member Beltran added.
