The government has extended for another two years the availment period of the estate tax amnesty.
“The estate tax amnesty is extended until June 14, 2023”, announced BIR Bataan revenue personnel Joseh Garcia during their radio program “Usaping BIR” on Friday at local radio station 91.1 Sikat FM.

Aside from him, Asst. Revenue District Officer Atty. Dante Tan and Admin and Human Resource Officer Gemo Espinosa were guests in the program.
Yung dating dalawang taon, dinagdagan pa ng panibagong dalawang taon”, Garcia said.

For his part, Tan said,.”Samantalahin po natin ito, yung mga naiwang property ng ating mga magulang, mga kamag-anak, i-avail natin yung amnesty, bayaran natin yung tax”.
Presidente Duterte signed Republic Act 11569 amending RA 11213 or the Estate Amnesty Act to extend the validity of the estate tax amnesty program.
A memorandum circular is also issued by BIR that allows taxpayers to file and pay anywhere to authorized agent bank.
