“Exceptional goats” shine at the Goat Show

CITY of BALANGA, Bataan – Exceptional goats showcased their beauty during “The Goat Show” yesterday, November 21, at the Bataan Provincial Capitol Compound, this city. Said show is part of the “Goat Fiesta 2018” spearheaded by the Central Luzon Agriculture, Aquatic and Resources Research and Development Consortium (CLAARRDC), Provincial Veterinary Office, Bataan Peninsula State University, and Central Luzon State University.
In the first part of the “Goat Show”, the minor awards that were given are Best in costume (winner: #18), Best in Goat Walk (winner #4), Darling of the crowd (winner: #6), Pabibo award (winner: #1), and the Most pasaway award (winner: #20). The winners received medals with P1,000 cash prize each.
For the major awards, the following are the categories and winners: The Goat’s Next Top Model (winner: #18), where the winner received Medal, Certificate, and P5,000 cash prize.
In the second part of the show, the “Goat’s Book of Records” was held, and the awards that were given are: Longest horn (winner: #7, with 14.5 inches), Longest Goatee or longest beard (winner: #23 with 9.5 inches), Most Shiny hair (winner: unnumbered), Smallest doe or smallest mother goat (winner: 12 with 9.5 inches), and the Heaviest Goat (winner: #14 with 63.2 kg) the winners received a certificate, a medal, and P3,000 cash prize. The non-winners received P500 consolation prize.
