Expansion of major road artery and streetlights installation, effective tools for additional investments

BALANGA CITY, Bataan – Governor Albert Raymond S. Garcia has revealed the expansion and installation of Smart or intelligent streetlights facilities of the province’s major road artery are planned for efficient movement of goods and services and dynamic investment precedence which are integrated in his long range plan of attaining progressive social amelioration program.
The two priority projects under the Public-Private Partnership mode of the provincial government are geared toward intensification of marketing and promotional systems to illustrate the advantages of the historic peninsula as constructive investment site in the country
While focusing on the inevitable economic upsurge with the emerging status of Bataan as a premier industrial zone in Central Luzon, Garcia has disclosed that a number of foreign and local entrepreneurs have opted to transfer their businesses to the province with its unique category of being the host of seven (7) economic and tourism zones and availability of sufficient power which is registered as the biggest operational expenses for the manufacturing firms.
The Governor has opined the upgrading,improvement and rehabilitation of roads and bridges and installation of streetlights and closed circuit television cameras, deployment of mobile and hospital units along the 86 kilometers stretch of Roman Highway would definitely hasten the vital infrastructure link toward the five (5) strategically located ecozones and Mount Samat Shrine Tourism Enterprise .
“The road widening scheme of Roman Highway to 30- meter width would further ensure the safety of the commuters, workers, visitors, tankers, haulers and effective transport of raw materials to the ecozones and finished export products to the nearby air and sea ports of Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority (SBMA) and Clark Ecozone in Pampanga”, Governor Garcia said.
He also cited the unprecedented benefits in the coming of more locators to the province in terms of additional revenues for the expansion of health, job placement, education, roads and bridges and other equally important services for the residents.
With the on-going development, the Governor has consulted municipal officials and other national government agencies to formulate an effective land use plan and other measures which would focus on creating business locations .
Local government authorities should also undertake applicable and strategic methods for the projected growth of government industrial sites in Limay and Mariveles towns to more healthy, habitable and environmentally conducive community, Governor Garcia added.
