BALANGA CITY, Bataan – The wife of the five-time Speaker of the House
Joe de Venecia, daughter of Sampaguita Pictures starbuilder Doc Perez and host of GMA7 teleserye “Pira-pirasong Pangarap”, former Congresswoman Gina de Venecia was the special guest at the 22nd Anniversary Celebration
of KABAKA with their opening program held at the Bonifacio Camacho National High School in Abucay town.
In her message De Venecia recounted the different projects she established when she was still a congresswoman, focused on women and children such as the haven for abused women, haven for street children, haven for senior citizens, and INA healing center for all mothers who suffer depression after the demise of their children.
It will be remembered the tragic incident when Cong’woman de Venecia’s youngest daughter died when the latter was trapped in a fire that gutted their
home.
De Venecia was congresswoman from 2010 to 2016 of which one important bill she has passed was the establishment of the Women’s desk in all PNP stations and now he’s focusing on the program inang mahal, which will
benefit all the mothers tending their children at home.
