SAMAL, Bataan – The Department of Trade and Industry this morning inaugurated the 6th Negosyo Center here just beside the town’s municipal hall. It is now the 51st in Central Luzon.
Nelin Cabahug, OIC- provincial director of DTI-Bataan was joined by local officials here led by Mayor Gene Malibian Dela Fuente, Vice Mayor Aida Macalinao and the members of the municipal board; and other stakeholders from the business sector.
Bataan Governor Abet Garcia graced the occasion along with former Bataan 1st District Rep. Herminia B. Roman (representing Rep. Geraldine Roman) and top officials from the DTI led by Regional Director Judith Angeles.
Through the Negosyo Center, DTI aims to broaden business opportunities for the growth of micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in the province.
Noted entrepreneur Amanda Battad of Amanda’s Marine Products and Chairman of the Bataan Chamber of Commerce and Industry was also present.
The establishment of Negosyo Centers is pursuant to Republic Act 10644 otherwise known as the Go Negosyo Act.
Last year, the 29 existing Negosyo Centers in Central Luzon have served 34,897 clients and have facilitated and processed the Business Name Registration of 23,361 MSMEs.
