Gov. Abet: Close family and community involvement promote peaceful environment

BALANGA CITY, Bataan – Governor Albert Raymond S. Garcia gave strong emphasis on strengthening family relationship and active community involvement in undertaking productive activities to ensure peaceful environment.

In his opening remarks during the Preventing and Countering Violent Extremism Seminar the other day at Lou-Is Restaurant here, Governor Garcia said that these significant elements are effective mantle toward a constructive system of countering the threat of violent extremism in Bataan as a fast developing industrial hub in Central Luzon.

He cited the provincial government classification as having the lowest poverty level index of 1.6 percent compared to the national average of 22 percent based on reports of the Philippine Statistics office.

The Governor announced to the participants in the seminar with guest speaker National Police Commission (NAPOLCOM) supervising commissioner for Central Luzon, Felizardo M. Serapio, Jr. that Bataan is one of the two provinces, the other being Pampanga declared as insurgency free provinces in the country.
