Gov. Abet: Committed to sustainable growth

CITY of BALANGA, Bataan – Provincial Government of Bataan through the Provincial Government Environment and Natural Resources Office (PG-ENRO) recently concluded the Project Inception Workshop: Bataan 50MW Solar Farm Project together with the Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI), Department of Energy, Peninsula Electric Cooperative (PENELCO), and National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA) at Lou-is Restaurant, yesterday, June 24.

PG-ENRO Head Engr. Victor Ubaldo said that Bataan decided to partner with GGGI so as to gain wider knowledge on the different economic growth problems that other countries have already encountered. The Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI) is a treaty-based international, inter-governmental organization dedicated to supporting and promoting strong, inclusive and sustainable economic growth in developing countries and emerging economies.
GGGI Country Representative Mr. Juhern Kim commended Bataan for having a good sense of awareness, sustainability, and initiatives in taking care the environment. He also commended Governor Albert Garcia for his commitment on the said initiatives hence Bataan is now recognized as one of the fastest growing provinces in the Philippines.
