CITY of BALANGA, Bataan – Gov. Abet Garcia, in his bid for a more progressive Bataan, takes full responsibility in enhancing the peace and order situation of the province to encourage more investors. Through Metro Bataan Development Authority (MBDA) GM Charlie Pizarro, the hardworking governor recently donated 27 modern handheld radios and 16 base stations to the Bataan-PNP

GM Charlie said that Gov. Abet always says that, “No investor will locate in the province or in any place where their lives and investments will be at risk,” thus, he emphasized that “quick response” is really necessary especially in emergency situations or any untoward incident where proper communication is a very important factor.

GM Pizarro added that Gov. Abet is turning over the following vehicles within the month: two (2) pick-up vehicles for the Provincial Public Safety, four (4) vans for operations of SOCO, CIDG and the SWAT Team while a troop carrier truck will also be donated for transporting policemen in rescue or operations of the PNP.

Still according to GM Pizarro, aside from vehicles, the Governor also committed to upgrade their weapons. The SWAT team will also be given sniper rifles while 20 pcs of AK-21 long firearms will be rehabilitated for proficiency firing.

Col. Donato Bail for Administration and Col. Rommel Velasco of the Public Safety received the donations in behalf of PSSupt. Benjie Silo who was in Camp Crame at that time and assured the officials and constituents of Bataan the doubled concerted effort of the PNP to maintain the peace and order situation of the province as well as the pride in the “single-digit” minor crime incidents in the province, adding that, “Ang Bataan PNP ay tahanan ng mga mapagkakatiwalaan, disiplinado at friendly men in uniform.”
