BALANGA CITY, Bataan – Gov. Albert S. Garcia in his almost one-hour speech on Thursday to members of Bataan Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Inc. (BACCII) presented the real picture of the province and future infrastructure projects.
The governor, who just returned from a previous speaking engagement also before a group of businessmen and prospective investors in Manila was the guest speaker of Business Forum held at Emiliana Hall.
The BACCII headed by its president Orly dela Pena conferred the governor the “Business Friendly LGU” award for his various programs that made easier for BACCII members to do business in the province.
Garcia reiterated that Bataan has the lowest percentage of poverty level in the country; lowest crime rate; the first province to be declared drugs-free, and insurgency free.
He said more master planners are getting interested in joining the proposed construction of 24 kilometer bridge spanning Bataan to Cavite province. “Kung sino ang mahusay at mabilis gumawa ng tulay yan ang susuportahan natin,’ he said.
When the bridge is done, Garcia said, Bataan could be easily linked to other Southern and Northern Luzon provinces without passing through Metro Manila where traffic jam had been a monstrous problem of businessmen and commuters.
