Gov. Garcia cites successful projects

Bataan Gov. Joet Garcia enumerated some of the successful programs of the provincial government as it ushers in the upcoming projects for 2026.

The Governor said during the recent 4th Quarter meeting of the Provincial Development Council that there are successful programs this year although there are also programs that need modification and necessary improvement and should be implemented next year.

He assured members of PDC that there would be a continuing effort to improve some programs to meet the need of the growing population of Bataan.

The Philippine Statistics Authority reported last year that the population of Bataan is barely 1 million and is expected to grow a bit higher in a few years.

Population growth is largely determined by the increasing number of industrial firms in the province’s Freeport expansion area (FEA). The Authority of the Freeport Area of Bataan (AFAB) said in its statement that it has now established 17 FEAs in different municipalities of the province.
