Gov. Garcia lauds Orani, youths for MMK project

ORANI, Bataan – Bataan Gov. Abet Garcia praised Orani local officials led by Mayor Efren Pascual Jr. and the youths organizations there for their effort to launch the Malinis at Masaganang Karagatan (MMK).
The governor said everyone should be concerned about cleaning the Manila Bay and municipal waters because fishermen depend much on them for their livelihood.
He likewise appreciated the effort of the youths for awareness in this kind of project.
“I’m really happy about Orani because of its various programs on environment and community development,” said the governor.
He, however, emphasized that coastal clean up activities should not be undertaken only once a year, or one day.
Gov. Garcia asked the Sanggunian Kabataan to join the “1M41bataan” project wherein everyone should plant ten trees, post in social media to achieve a million trees planted.
“Sana 365 days tayo magtanim at mag-recycle,” the governor urged the youths.
