The atmosphere in the Freeport Area of Bataan (FAB) seems to favor the possibility of achieving herd immunity by December citing good prospect of more factory workers now willing to be vaccinated.

Ms. Hazel Keith, one of the information officers at the Authority of Freeport Area of Bataan (AFAB), said so far more than 10,600 workers and office employees have been inoculated at the FABakuna Center located at the freeport’s Standard Factory Building No. 7.

She said factory workers are now inclined to avail of different brands of anti-Covid-19 vaccines such as Moderna, AstraZeneca, Johnson & Johnson, and Sinovac. Even locators and high-ranking employees of FAB companies had them vaccinated at FABakuna Center, said Keith.

Five other vaccination hubs are located in the Municipality of Mariveles, the Mariveles Mental Health Wellness Hospital and Medical Center, Mariveles District Hospital and Barangay San Carlos Vaccination Center.
Bataan Gov. Albert Garcia had been hopeful that the province may yet become the first to achieve herd immunity by year-end.
