SUBIC BAY FREEPORT – Hugpong ng Pagbabago (HNP), the regional party of Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio, officially sealed an alliance with Bataan’s Partido Balikatan ng Bataan (Balikatan) here on Sunday.
Gov. Albert Garcia, president of the Balikatan, said they will help the senatorial candidates supporting the administration of President Rodrigo Duterte.
HNP-endorsed senatorial candidates who appeared at the alliance ceremony were Senators Cynthia Villar and Sonny Angara; former senator Jinggoy Estrada, Maguindanao Rep. Zajid Mangudadatu, Ilocos Norte Gov. Imee Marcos, former PNP chief Ronald dela Rosa, former presidential aide Bong Go, former presidential spokesman Harry Roque, former presidential adviser Francis Tolentino, Bacoor City Mayor Lani Mercado representing her husband Bong Revilla, and journalist Jiggy Manicad.
Senatorial bets made the most out of the event by also imparting words to the estimated 2,000 Bataan officials and political leaders who trooped to the Subic Bay Exhibition and Convention Center.
Bataan leaders who came from the 11 towns and lone city of the province vowed to support the HNP senatorial bets.
Also present in the ceremony were Vice Gov. Cris Garcia, first district Rep. Geraldine Roman, second district Rep. Joet Garcia, Balanga City Mayor Francis Garcia, Mariveles Mayor AJ Concepcion, and Samal town mayoral candidate Rolly Tigas, among others.
Later in the day, Carpio was main guest in the annual Pawikan Festival in Morong, Bataan.
