DINALUPIHAN, Bataan – Mayor Maria Angela S. Garcia of this town has described the aggressive flood control and systematic implementation of infrastructure programs mainly contributed to the town’s feasible growth.
Ms. Garcia, a former vice president of a foreign-owned international marketing firm is extremely prepared on the reports that potential locators from Metro Manila and Central Luzon are currently eyeing Dinalupihan, a model agropolis of Central Luzon by year 2020, which is undergoing major public works improvements in anticipation of the growing commercial and business districts as suitable investment sites.
Dinalupihan, a gateway to the country’s more progressive freeports, is being considered as the best alternative location for expansion of warehouses intended as storage for imported fertilizer, cement, wheat, soya beans and other products coming from the nearby Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority (SBMA)
Small and medium entrepreneurs have started to construct gasoline stations, restaurants and fast food stores, hotels, travelers’ inns, spare parts centers and other amenities along the stretch of Olongapo–Gapan road which is now undergoing road improvement.
With the extensive infrastructure projects, Dinalupihan most likely has high probability for investments in tourism and recreation sites which include Dinalupihan Nature Center within Roosevelt protected landscape, ideal for picnics, camping, swimming, hiking, trekking and other recreational activities.
A conical shaped mountain, Mt. Malasimbu, is reportedly becoming a travelers’ destination particularly with nature lovers and mountain trekkers while former flood prone villages become business centers.
