MARIVELES, Bataan – Members of the Intelligence Support Action Force (ISAF), a civilian volunteers group tapped by the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) of the PNP to help the police gather information on activities of criminals and lawless elements on a voluntary basis took their oath today at the Romalaine Restaurant in Brgy. Alas-asin of this town as legitimiate civilian agents of the CIDG.
Led by its president Al Balan, ISAF members have been actively helping the CIDG in intelligence gathering and monitoring the movements of lawless elements resulting to their arrest. “This shows that our group is not only helping the PNP-CIDG in monitoring and running after lawless elements but also in other ways since the CIDG members are also serving the public, particularly in maintaining peace and order,” pointed out Balan.
Recognized and accredited by the Securities and Exchange Commission, ISAF is composed of respected individuals, businessmen, religious leaders, local officials and professionals.
During their (ISAF) courtesy call on Governor Abet S. Garcia, Balan assured Garcia of their all-out support to the “Crime and drug-free Bataan’ program of the governor.
Former Pilar mayor Charlie Pizarro, now Metro Bataan Development Authority (MBDA) general manager and Mariveles Councilor Ace Jelo Concepcion also lauded the contribution of ISAF in promoting a peaceful Bataan.
