It’s now official, Cris Garcia is Bataan’s Vice Governor

MANILA – It was just an ordinary day for most of us. The 2nd day of June of 2017. But for her, Ma. Cristina M. Garcia, it was probably one of the most memorable days of her life.

After almost a year of waiting, on the 8th floor of the Palacio Del Gobernador in Intramuros of this city, where the Central Offices of the Commission on Elections are located, an important event took place. The Session Hall was filled with visitors.

Friends, relatives and fellow public servants gathered together to witness the formal proclamation of Miss Cris Garcia as the Vice Governor of the Province of Bataan.

Cris is the chief coordinator of the Iskolar ng Bataan – a monumental program of the late Governor and a great Congressman Enrique “Tet” Garcia, Jr that helped thousands of lives fulfill their dreams of finishing college and find decent jobs.

During press conferences at “the site” (the Garcia’s official residence in Bataan) when “Cong. Tet” was alive, we, the ones they called “friends from the media” usually see Cris Garcia with a warm smile to us while listening to some directives from her uncle Tet.

No one among us ever imagined that Cris will become the second highest executive of this great Province.

But whatever they may say, may it be personal, legal or any other ways imaginable, it’s now official, Cris Garcia will preside today’s regular session of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan (provincial board) as the duly elected Vice Governor of the Province of Bataan.
