Land developers, commercial leasing firms to invest in Bataan

BALANGA CITY, Bataan – About 10 real estate developers and commercial leasing corporations are ready to infuse more than P 1 billion investments for the construction of housing projects and commercial property leasing structures in the province.

Board Member Rolando Z. Tigas, chair of Housing and Land Utilization Committee of the Bataan Sangguniang Panlalawigan (SP) has expressed his optimism on the widespread housing projects and commercial establishments with the increasing economic activity in the province’s industrial growth centers.

Metro Manila and Central Luzon based housing and land developers have identified more than 100 hectares  of lands  adjacent to the seven (7) Special Economic Zones as viable sites of the projects as industrial workers from other regions in Luzon Island  are starting to look for  residential  accommodations and conducive employment locations  .

BM  Tigas has described the great potentials of Bataan as one of the premier  industrial and commercial hubs in Central Luzon is mainly attributed to the local government’s sound economic policy, generally peaceful  and business-friendly community and its strategic location, being at the center of the triad growth centers composed of Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority (SBMA), Clark Economic Zone  and Metro Manila.

Tigas, one of the most prominent contractors in Region 3, said the successful implementation of the infrastructure programs and economic incentives of Governor Albert Raymond S. Garcia motivated local and foreign investors in the historic peninsula.

One of the biggest factors in the rising demand  of housing and commercial facilities, BM Tigas  said is the existence of four industrial estates in the province ready to accommodate business locators. He likewise explained the Freeport Area of Bataan (FAB) has long been operating with complete infrastructure and facilities it being the first export processing zone in the country.

Land developers have started building housing and commercial property leasing projects in Pilar, Orion, Limay, Mariveles, Bagac, Morong, Orani and Hermosa towns and in Balanga City in anticipation of huge housing demand in the fast developing industrial growth areas in the province.
