BALANGA CITY, Bataan – “ Life is a box of crayons, which we cannot live all by ourselves”, City Administrator Rodolfo H. De Mesa stressed the other day during the moving up ceremony of some 200 children under the Casa Department of Bataan Montessori School at Lou-is Resort and Restaurant here.
He expounded that despite development of technology which have literally changed the atmosphere of the world when we play, yet it is more enjoyable and exciting when you have several playmates with you since gadgets are not that responsive to improve the worth of human acquaintances.
A former college instructor, De Mesa added that in playing with crayons, undeniably everything becomes more vivid and full of life,it hones creativity and teaches us “ not to have a small town outlook, but instead to enlarge our heart until it becomes universal”.
He gave emphasis that a single crayon by itself is weak, but if you try to hold a bundle, you will find them hard to break and crayons are strong as long as they are tied up together in a bundle .
He urged parents to help their children to appreciate the beauty of this world and let them see the color of life that would influence their soul and modify their desire of what is the best future for them.
He defined CRAYONS as courage for resilience, aesthetic , youthfulness, optimism ,nourishment and for shine of star and if we have those qualities, we can be rainbows to everyone’s cloud.
He added “ we can learn a lot from crayons, some are sharp, some are pretty, some are dull while others are bright. Some have weird names, but they all have learned to live together in the same box and we need to bind together amidst our differences.
