LIKHA ng Central Luzon, a bench marking mission

BALANGA CITY, Bataan – The 19th LIKHA ng Central Luzon, an annual regional trade fair jointly organized by the Department of Trade and Industry (R-3), The Philippines Exporters Foundation (Phil export –R3) and the Regional Development Council (RDC R-3) with the full support of the Central Luzon Growth Corridor (CLGC) Foundation, will be held at the SM Megamall Trade Hall 2, Mandaluyong City on Oct. 11-15, 2017.

DTI Secretary Ramon S. Lopez will give the keynote speech while Senator Juan Miguel Zubiri, Chair of the Senate Trade, Commerce and Entrepreneurs Committee will give the inspirational message together with Mayor Ed Pamintuan, as the Chair of the Regional Development Council, Region 3.

Ms. Nora Reclosado, division chief of the MSME DTI-Bataan, in a radio interview at Power Radio 104.5 FM, said that LIKHA ng Central Luzon will serve as the culminating activity of the various assistance and services given to all SME’s in the seven provinces of Central Luzon such as Aurora, Bataan, Zambales, Nueva Ecija, Pampanga and Bulacan.

The best products of each province in Central Luzon will be showcased in the Trade Fair which will be their opportune time for their benchmarking mission, according to DTI, as part of their stakeholders capability build-up program for the members of the Bataan SMED Council to enhance further and efficiently respond to the requirements of the clientele in terms of the latest designs and trending products in the market.

Reclosado likewise said that 13 entrepreneurs (6 from food and 7 non-food) from Bataan with their best products will join the LIKHA, namely: Amanda’s marine products, Bagakeno cashew, Beakris, Five Brothers bakery, Monteys, Tanato food, Jargoons, Danneth slider, Khalimah, Orient sports gear and MM small scale. While each province will be given a particular schedule to demonstrate one of their best products, Bataan will showcase our “hand painting on jars” and so with our song and dance cultural presentation to be presented by the Pablo Roman High School on Oct. 13, 2017.

The closing program will highlight and award the Top 3 best products sold with a plaque of appreciation and cash reward in joining the LIKHA ng Central Luzon Trade Fair.
