“Maiba Naman”

As Mayor Jon Arizapa marks his first 100 days as Orani’s leader, his rallying call “Maiba Naman” resonates with positive change.

He says that his first 100 days in office is a period defined by visible change, responsive governance, and a renewed sense of public service. Since assuming office in July, Arizapa has emphasized that “service is for the people, not for oneself,” steering the municipality toward cleaner governance and more responsive public systems.

One of his first acts, Executive Order No. 1, launched the “Clean Start Toward Clean Governance and a Clean Town” campaign. It included a comprehensive road-clearing operation to address congestion and restore order on Orani’s streets.

Inside the municipal hall, practical changes have taken shape. From free photocopying services for official transactions to a one-day processing system for medical and financial assistance.

These initiatives, while modest, have eased the burden on residents and simplified government procedures.

“Gawing simple, huwag gawing komplikado ang mga bagay,” Mayor Arizapa said, underscoring his effort to cut bureaucratic red tape and make local governance more accessible.

The local public market, once criticized for disorder and poor sanitation, has undergone cleanup and reorganization efforts. The town gym has been opened for free community use, encouraging health, recreation, and youth engagement.

In his first 100 days, Mayor Arizapa also prioritized emergency response readiness, drainage clearing, and infrastructure rehabilitation along with ongoing programs in health, education, agriculture, and social welfare.

As Orani enters a new chapter, the message behind “Maiba Naman” is becoming more evident: change is achievable through leadership grounded in transparency, discipline, and service.
