Mariveles to embark on priority projects

MARIVELES, Bataan – The municipal government of Mariveles will be embarking on priority projects in line with the thrust programs of Mayor AJ Concepcion.

Officials of this town headed by Concepcion and Vice Mayor Lito Rubia recently visited Gov. Albert Garcia at the capitol to bare the projects.  

Councilor Tito Catipon said the governor vowed to support the Mariveles projects.

“The governor pledged to provide sites for the slaughter house and view deck projects at the Baseco property”, he said.

He said the municipal government will provide the funding of the two projects.

“The governor also pledged to endorse the proposed bypass road project to the DPWH and provide fund from the capitol coffers”, Catipon also said.

The councilor said with the construction of bypass road going to Bagac, there is no need to pass through the town proper the road linking the two towns.Councilors Turing Isip, Angel Sunga, Joey Carandang, Em Reyes, and Harry Golocan, and Municipal Administrator Danilo Velasco, and SB Secretary Remy Timenia joined in visiting the governor.

This municipality will also build a P19M fish port in Barangay Poblacion seen to help the local fishing community.
