Master Charles: outstanding, unstoppable, independent

BALANGA CITY, Bataan – This kid continues to breathe underwater as he again competed and won a number of awards in the recently concluded 2017 Buccaneer Invitational Swim Meet held in Tokyo, Japan last October 21-22.

Master Charles competed under the Philippine Swimming League and out of 29 swimmers, he made sure to rise above them all. He brought home 6 gold medals (4 individual, 2 relay), 1 silver medal (individual), 1 bronze medal (individual), and with no records broken, he was declared as one of the Most Outstanding Swimmers with the highest points.

This is the 6th time he has competed in an international event. But what makes us more proud is that he flew all the way to Japan without his parents by his side. This only shows that no matter how the situation changes, his heart for swimming doesn’t change. Like Dory from the movie Finding Nemo, he will just keep on swimming, swimming, and swimming.
