More hotels, restaurants and housing facilities to rise at the FAB

MARIVELES, Bataan – The increase in investments at the Freeport Area of Bataan (FAB) triggered the interest of locators on the demands for highly competitive investment environment in the areas of housing, hotels, restaurants and entertainment for the tremendous number of workers, employees and executives as well.

Thus, with the objective of FAB to revive the areas seeking investors which will boost recreational facilities, it has now targetted investors who will build  hotels, entertainment establishments, duty free shops, resorts, team building  facilities and sports facilities that will sustain a talent-pool that can serve the human resource needs of the workers, employees and locators.

With the setting up of the first IT Technopark at the Freeport Area of Bataan, The Grand Innovasia Concept Corporation, which not only serves as the company’s main operation hub but also provides commercial and entertainment business in the three-hectare land inside the Freeport, it has also become a magnet that encourages other locators as new players in the growth and development in the mushrooming of housing, hotels and restaurants inside the FAB.

GICC IT Technopark boasts of its BPO offices and offers amenities like restaurants, salon, spa, shopping stores, big function rooms for different events and other business activities.

Leading the trailblazing contribution, Authority of the Freeport Area of Bataan (AFAB) Chairman Emmanuel Pineda said that many locators join the bandwagon in building more hotels and restaurants such as the Casa Mariveles Hotel and Restaurant, a 3-storey hotel with 22 bedrooms, cafe-style dining area to be in operation by March 2018; Sharemax Hotel, a 6-storey hotel  with 72 rooms, 12 KTV rooms, Chinese restaurant and Cafe to be operational by April 2018 and the proposed GICC Technopark II which will have  a hotel with pool, a 2-storey Casino Complex, man-made surf beach resort complex, executive club house, promenade, landscape parks, boulevard and road networks.

Meanwhile Chairman Pineda said that with these activities, even with many players in the housing project like Fiesta Community, FAB is now planning to build four 3-storey buildings for economic housing with 39 units per building, estimated to be completed by May of this year.
