Nearer job access for Bataeños

CITY of BALANGA, Bataan – Public Employment Service Office (PESO) in coordination with the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) and the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) recently concluded its annual Job Fair primarily for Bataeños and neighboring provinces at Events Center, Vista Mall Bataan last May 29, this city.
Most of the jobs available are blue collar jobs such as mason, carpenters, drivers, helpers, lineman, production operators, and technician. Among the more than 40 local and overseas employers who participated in the said job fair are Social Security System (SSS), PhilHealth, Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA), and Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA).
The goal of the annual Job Fair is to provide venue for immediate engagement of jobseekers in order to minimize transportation and other expenses incurred by jobseekers in going to Manila or areas where vacancies are available.
PESO received positive feedback such “as assistance is always great” and “staff are all approachable” from those who participated in the Job Fair.
