BALANGA CITY, Bataan – Police Superintendent Byron F. Allatog, the new acting chief of police (COP) here, on Monday conducted briefing on Barangay Drug Clearing Operations, reintegration and strengthening of ‘Pulis sa Barangay’ and Oplans Double Barrel and “Tokhang”.

“Every police officer assigned in Balanga City will have their fair and specific share to contribute in the Barangay Drug Clearing Operations,” he told newsmen here.

Supt. Allatog further said that his plans to eradicate illegal drugs in this component city will be more effective with the full support of the Barangay Anti Drug Abuse Councils (BADAC), local government unit (LGU-Balanga), City Health Office, Department of Health, various religious groups or the Church, schools, and other stakeholders for the realization of a “City-wide Drug-Cleared Status.”

Allatog became a newsmaker in previous years for his peaceful style of fighting illegal drugs during his stint as chief of police of Bogo City in Cebu province. His style caught the attention of various national and international media.

Meanwhile, Col. Allatog over the weekend also made rounds on the different owners and managers of various KTV bars and other related businesses in the city for the proper positioning of their bouncers at their respective establishments.

In addition, he also advised them the right place or locations of closed circuit television (CCTV) cameras and other crime deterrents.

Another round of follow-up validations will be conducted by joint efforts among the city LGU and the city police.
