BALANGA City – About 4,000 people watched the free live screening of the clash in Macau of Manny Pacquiao and Brandon Rios at the Bataan People’s Center in Balanga City.

“Masaya dahil nanalo si Idol kahit hindi naka-knockout,” teenager Kevin Salmorin who came with his friends from Samal, Bataan said, adding “nakabawi ang Pambansang Kamao!”
Many waited for Pacquiao to knock-out his battered opponent but were happy enough for his win after suffering two consecutive losses in the ring.
Spectators watched closely as if preventing even to wink their eyes so as not to lose even a single second of the fight.
Many stood up from their chairs and began to leave the center without waiting for the announcement of the victory of Pacquiao. “Panalo na, kalinaw,” they said.
The free live screening is a project of Gov. Albert Garcia, Rep. Enrique Garcia and City Mayor Jose Enrique Garcia III.
Live screenings were also available in some restaurants for a certain fee in Balanga and Abucay town. (30)
