NGCP trains electric coop engineers, information officers

BALANGA CITY, Bataan – National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP) Regional Corporate Communication Officer for Bataan and Zambales Fely Francisco said they support the trainings of electric coop engineers and information officers.

She said they conducted last week a two-day seminar for engineers and personnel of electric cooperatives and companies in the provinces of Zambales and Pampanga.

About 35 participants, mostly engineers from Zambales 1 Electric Cooperative Inc (Zameco l), Zambales II Electric Cooperative Inc (Zameco II), Olongapo Electricity Distribution Inc (OEDC), Subic Enerzone Corporation, and San Fernando Electric Light and Power Company (SFELAPCO) attended the seminar on Overcurrent Protection Relay held at Subic Park Hotel.

NGCP Protection Services Division Unit Head Engr. Rodel Concepcion was the resource person.

Francisco also announced the conduct of communication training for energy information officers in the provinces Bataan and Zambales.

“We want to help energy information officers communicate better with the electric consuming public”, she said.

“The training also aims to help them to always provide timely and accurate information to the public”, she added.

Information officers and personnel of Penelco, Zameco I, Zameco II, OEDC, and other companies in the power industry will be invited in the training. It will be held next month in Subic.
