Not wanting to impose additional taxes? Entice more investors, generate more income

BALANGA CITY, Bataan – After successfully implementing a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) project, this fast developing component city is eyeing to invite more private investors to pour in investments here.

Mayor Joet S. Garcia said that they are inviting more private investors to locate in Balanga City after the successful establishment of the more than P300M Robinson’s Galeria Victoria, a four-storey fully air conditioned mall right at the heart of this City, built and owned by construction magnate Jerry Acuzar, who also owns the Las Casas Filipinas de Acuzar, in Bagac town.

Aside from Galeria, there is also the Center Mall owned by Consul Eddie de Guzman, the first class Plaza hotel, both located in front of the city hall, the Pure Gold, and now the Star Mall which is being constructed along the Roman Highway.

In a live TV interview program of “Ka Elias Live,” aired recently, Mayor Garcia said that among the possible investors here are BPOs that could generate big volume of employment. “May malaking BPO na maglalagay dito mismo sa Balanga at madaming personnel ang kakailanganin nito,” said the multi-awarded mayor.

The city’s program in enticing private investors, Garcia pointed out, is to generate more income and employment, saying he does not want to impose additional taxes to the people here.
