A total of 330 Orani folks received financial assistance from DSWD through the Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situation (AICS) program.
Board Member Tony Roman used his personal link to Senator Koko Pimentel and his wife Kathryna Yu-Pimentel to request the assistance for his townmates in Orani. The senator allocated P1 million for the DSWD AICS program. The board member said beneficiaries are fisherfolks, solo parents, and indigenous people. Representative of the senator Clarissa Aquino witnessed the recent cash payout to beneficiaries. Roman profusely thanked the senator and his wife for the assistance to Orani folks.
