THE Gov. Pascual Road in Orani, Bataan is a busy road going to Roman Highway which traverses the thickly populated Barangays Tugatog and Mulawin but with poor lighting or no light at all. Not anymore.
The municipal government of Orani was able to wangle P6 million for street lighting project utilizing the light-emitting diode (LED) system.
Orani Mayor Efren E. Pascual, Jr., in his recent facebook entry disclosed that the municipal government through Sen. Bong Go and the Department of Budget and Management had acquired P6 million for the installation of LED street lights along secondary roads and the Orani public market access roads and common terminal in Barangay Mulawin.
Pascual said the said amount is of great help to Orani municipal government in order to carry out important undertakings “for our constituents to see the lights to safety and cleanliness on the road going to the Roman Highway.”
The mayor further said: “Ito ay magbibigay liwanag at kaligtasan sa ating bayan lalo na sa Gov. Pascual Road na nagiging tapunan ng basura ng iba nating kababayan na nakakalimot sa pagiging disiplinado sa kanilang mga basura.”
Bidding process for the project shall start next month, Pascual added.
