LIMAY, Bataan – To honor the sacrifice and love of mothers and wives, Orica – Limay Explosives Plant, more commonly known as Orica Philippines, Inc. hosted a late Mothers’ Day celebration inside the Orica Plant compound in Barangay Lamao, this town, attended by the their employees, their respective families and the community last Friday, May 18.
Organized by Orica’s Labor Management Council (LMC), the program was hosted by Engr. Arnel Tegelan which started with a brief discussion on how they guarantee the safety of the people, the environment and the assurance that workers are safe inside the plant.
A mini-zumba followed, participated in by the employees and their families.
Engr. Ruth Cabreta, a retired Orica employee, was the guest speaker whose message zeroed in on the hard-work, never ending responsibilities of mothers and wives and how important it is to treasure them in our lives.
Orica Philippines, Inc. hosts events like this as part of their Corporate Social Responsibility program; to show their concern over the welfare not only of the company but also of their employees, their families and the community in general.
