OWD embraces IT

ORANI, Bataan – The Orani Water District (OWD) has embraced InformationTechnology optimizing its operation.

“We have been adopting the computerization program that resulted to efficient completion of our works”, said Ateneo-schooled OWD General Manager Benni Andres.

The water district began using a customized program for its billing and collection as early as 1999.

By 2003, OWD could boast of being the only water district in the Bataan peninsula to have a fully computerized system.

Currently we have embedded to our operation necessary IT tools, according to Andres.

“With the computerization program, we are operating with a lean and coherent workforce”, Andres also said.

Due to its overall improvement in management and service, OWD has been raised to Category B from Category C by the Local Water Utilities Administration.
