BALANGA CITY, Bataan – The Bataan Provincial Engineering Office (PEO) is readying a plan for the rehabilitation and improvement of two coastal roads worth P 92 million in the town of Bagac this year.
Engineer Enrico T.Yuzon, provincial engineer, said the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) has appropriated the budget for the coastal roads’ rehabilitation program under its Conditional Matching Grant Plan (CMGP) known as “Kalsada Program “to enhance development of the countryside.
The two roads are included in the list of priority projects of Bataan Governor Albert Raymond S. Garcia to transform the two coastal villages into conducive destinations for vacationers and foreign tourists for the sake of growing travel and tourism industry in Bataan.
The other three barangays are Quinawan in Bagac town, Binaritan in Morong town and Kapunitan in Orion town.
Engineer Yuzon has stressed that the provincial government had spent P 30 million for the improvement of coastal barangay of Quinawan,Bagac and another P 20 million has been earmarked for road extension in the same locality this year .
Governor Garcia is giving priority to infrastructure facilities in the coastal areas which would motivate tourists to explore the natural resources of the coastline of Bagac town facing the majestic west Philippine sea.
