BAGAC, Bataan – The Provincial Government Environment and Natural Resources Office (PG ENRO) conducted on Friday a tree-planting activity in the upland Sitio Nagbatalan, Barangay Binukawan, this town.

“The provincial government through the initiative of Gov. Abet Garcia purchased 6,000 seedlings for this planting activity”, PG ENRO Head Vic Ubaldo said before the start of the activity in his office at the capitol compound.

“Ten hectares area will be planted with fruit-bearing seedlings like guyabanosuha, and calamansi.  Forest trees will be planted to surround the fruit-bearing ones”, he also said.

“Our partner in this activity is a CBFM organization in Binukawan”, he also said.

“We will conduct series of tree-planting activities in the province, and this is just one of them”, he pointed out.

Ubaldo led about 200 people on a rainy Friday treading muddy trail and scaling the site in Sitio Nagbatalan for the planting activity.

Aside from PG ENRO employees, joining the activity were personnel from CENRO Bagac, BJMP, Bagac PNP, Barangay Binukawan, and from companies operating in the province Sumi Philippines, Petron, Phil Resins, and Orica Philippines.
