CITY of BALANGA, Bataan –The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) conducted the first batch of the 2015 Census Population (POPCEN 2015) Fourth Level Training of the Enumerators of six Municipaliities – Abucay, Bagac, Mariveles, Morong, Orani and Orion, Bataan at their respective venues from July 27 to August 1, 2015.
There were 9 classes simultaneously held during the week at Las Marianas Café, Abucay, Bataan; Fajardo’s Resort, Bagac, Bataan; Romalaine Resort, Mariveles; Municipal Conference Hall, Morong, Bataan; Municipal Sangguniang Bayan (SB) Gallery, Orani, Bataan; and Municipal SB Hall, Orion, Bataan. The trainers were PSA Regular Staff who are serving as Head Census Areas Supervisors (CAS) and the hired CAS who were trained from June 20 to 25, 2015.
Enumerators will be responsible for the complete enumeration in the area/s assigned to him/her. He/she will seek the help of his/her Team Supervisor regarding the problems encountered which he/she cannot resolve.
The second batch of trainees of the Municipalities of Dinalupihan, Hermosa, Limay, Pilar, Samal and City of Balanga is currently undergoing the same training from August 3 to 8, 2015.
Interim Provincial Statistics Officer, Ledesma L. Morante, PSA Bataan is supervising the conduct of all the trainings by strategically visiting all the municipalities. In every visits, she sees to it that she addresses all administrative and financial concerns of the participants.
In August 2015, the POPCEN 2015 to be undertaken will be the 14th census of population in the country since the first census in 1903. Moreover, the POPCEN 2015 will be the 3rd population census to be conducted in between two decennial censuses. Previous to POPCEN 2015, mid-decade censuses were carried out in 1995 and 2007.
POPCEN 2015 starts in all barangays nationwide in August 10, 2015.
