CITY of BALANGA, Bataan – The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Bataan Provincial Statistical Office conducted a Training on Certificate of Registration of Authority to Solemnize Marriage (CRASM) in conclusion to the 2016 Civil Registration Month held at PSA Conference Room on February 29, 2016.
The theme of this year’s civil registration month is “Makiisa… Makisali sa Dekadang CRVS”.
PSA Bataan Staff Maria Rosario C. Dela Rosa served as trainer for the activity. Ms. Myrna V Bernardo delivered the welcome remarks. Ms. Bernardo wished that all of the participants, PSA Bataan staff will learn from the training. She is positive that the lecture will be helpful to the office since there will be more staff to entertain Solemnizing Officers (SO) and other clients.
The Training on CRASM is a refresher lecture on Administrative Order No. 1 Series of 2007 which is the IRR Governing the Registration of the Authority to Solemnize Marriage with the Civil Registrar General of Bishops, Heads/Founders of Religious Ministers, Tribal Heads/ Leaders/ Chieftains, Community Elders, and Other Designated Authorities.
The Certificate of Registration of Authority to Solemnize Marriage (CRASM) is a certificate issued to a SO certifying the registration of his authority to solemnize marriage after complying with the requirements. This certificate indicates that the SO is authorized to solemnize marriages under his territorial jurisdiction within the period specified.
PSA is the government agency that signs and issues the Certificate of Registration of Authority to Solemnize Marriage (CRASM), which is part of the agency’s mandate to carry out Civil Registration Services.
Throughout the month-long celebration, PSA was visible during the activities undertaken by the Local Civil Registry Office such as in the mass wedding activities of the Municipality of Mariveles held at the Mariveles People’s Park, on February 23; Municipality of Limay at Spiral Hall, Trivea Subdivision on February 23, and Municipality of Bagac at the Bagac Municipal Hall Grounds, February 26, 2016.
