“Ang lugar na ito ay magiging sports city at magbabago po ang kulay ng probinsya. Lahat ng mga sikat na makikitang Pilipino na papuntang international, seagames, olympics, dito na po magtraining. Magbabago po ang mukha ng Bataan,” Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) Chairman William Ramirez emphasized during the signing of the deed of donation and turnover to the PSC of the 250,000 square meters of land in Bagac for the establishment of the Philippine Sports Training Center held at the Oriental Hotel yesterday, May 18.

Ramirez also stated that Bataan is a good place to retire and commended leaders for their eagerness in projects envisioned for the Province.
“Masisipag, mababait at saka palaban ang mga Garcia sa mga bagay na gusto nilang maimplement,” PSC Chairman Ramirez said when asked why Bataan was chosen as the location for the national training center.
Said Center has an initial 3.5 Billion estimated funds which will house indoor courts for basketball, badminton, tennis, and volleyball; baseball grounds, gymnastics hall, Olympic pool, dormitory, and other sports-related facilities.

“Ito pong pagtatayo ng Philippine Sports Training Center ay napakaimportante sa ating Lalawigan. Not only will it help the future athletes of our country, and our province, ito rin po ay makatutulong sa ating target na longer life expectancy at healthy lifestyle ng ating mga kababayaan,” Governor Abet Garcia said as he thanked PSC for giving an assurance for this project.
