BALANGA CITY, Bataan – As part of this year’s celebration of Tourism Month, the Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority (SBMA) Tourism Department held a Quiz Challenge with the theme, “Sustainable Tourism: A tool for development.”
Participated in by seven (7) schools from the region, namely: PWU Bataan -Gordon College -Lyceum of Subic Bay -St. Benilde Center for Competence -Subic Bay Colleges Inc. -Columban College -Ramon Magsaysay Technological University- San Marcelino, where each school fielded two (2) contestants, the event was held last September 29 at the Activity Center, Harbor Point, Subic. Questions covered local and international events and issues about tourism.
In the end, France Tejada, a senior BS Tourism Management student of Philippine Women’s University (PWU) – Bataan brought home the much coveted trophy, plaque of recognition and ten thousand pesos cash prize. Another PWU-Bataan student, Mary Joyce dela Rosa placed 5th.
