Rep. Garcia sponsors Public Governance Meritocracy Bill in House Hearing

Bataan 2nd District Rep. Abet Garcia has sponsored House Bill No. 6145, also known as the Public Governance Meritocracy Bill, during a hearing of the House Committee on Local Government at the House of Representatives.

Garcia said the proposed measure aims to further strengthen honest governance and improve the delivery of quality public services by promoting merit-based systems in government. He expressed gratitude for the support shown by his fellow lawmakers.

Garcia said a subcommittee has been created to conduct a more in-depth study of the bill and fine-tune provisions to better respond to the needs of the people.

He added that the measure is aligned with the goal to build a more responsive and trustworthy government for all Filipinos.
