Russians seen to invest in Bataan

ORANI, Bataan – A group of Russian traders is mulling to invest in tourism in this historic peninsula.

Sergey Mstislavskiy of the Aeroflot Russian Airlines and his partners from Hongkong and Malaysia, met recently with Governor Abet S. Garcia to explore the possibility of investing in tourism projects in Bataan, a booming province in Central Luzon. Said meeting with the foreign traders was held inside the 1Bataan command center in this town.

The group came with Atty. Coeli Fiel, president of Econest, the company that operates the sanitary land fill in Hermosa, Bataan.

Fiel said that the Russian traders have expressed interest in investing in tourism projects in the province, due to its potential and accessibility to Metro Manila, Clark and Subic.
Bataan has two freeports-The Freeport Area of Bataan in Mariveles and SBMA – aside from the Bataan Petron Refinery, Hermosa ecozone, among other industrial areas.

Governor Garcia welcomed the Russian investor and his group Daniel Ho of Visit Petetsburg of Taiwan and Ling ling Vun of Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, Malaysia and he assured them of his full support once they decide to invest in Bataan.
