The Sangguniang Bayan Mariveles is seeking amendment of a municipal traffic ordinance to suit the current situation.
Councilor Tito Catipon, Chairman of the Committee on Peace and Order and Public Safety and Councilor Ronald Arcenal, Chairman of the Committee on Public Utilities and Facilities called a week ago, for a joint committee hearing for the amendment of Kautusang Pambayan Blg. 2016-114, “Bagong Batas Pangtrapiko ng Bayan ng Mariveles.”
The committee hearing was attended by Vice Mayor Lito Rubia and Councilor Susan Madla-Murillo.
Others who attended the hearing were Municipal Public Safety Office Chief Romeo Fastidio, local police officers, and barangay officials of San Carlos, Poblacion, Cabcaben, and Townsite.
An industrial and populous town, traffic is a concern for Mariveles.
