Senior citizens take oath of office

BAGAC, Bataan – This morning, February 21, the newly-elected officers of senior citizens group per barangay took their oath of office at the municipal hall of this town.

“Nakakatuwa po dahil ang samahan dito sa ating bayan ay may kooperasyon. Ang bawat isa ay aktibong nakikilahok sa mga aktibidades ng bayan. Pagtanda ko po nawa ay maging aktibo din ako sa samahan ng mga matatanda,” said Mayor Louise Gabriel del Rosario in his message during the oath taking.

Also accomplished during this morning’s activity was the nomination of the new Office of Senior Citizen Affairs (OSCA) Head in compliance to Republic Act 9994, otherwise known as the Expanded Senior Citizens Act of 2004, which provides that three persons will be nominated for the position and the municipal mayor will appoint that which will qualify the most. Ms. Erlinda Ursulo, Mr. Virgilio Baciles and Ms. Maria Capili are the nominees.
