BALANGA CITY, Bataan – Inmates inside Bataan District Jail undergo skills training needed for employment when they return to society.

“The skills development program here has already produced 665 NC2 skilled and qualified workers”, said Jail Superintendent Andrew Tauli, Bataan District Jail warden.

“We have been tying up with TESDA and BPSU for the conduct of the trainings for qualified inmates”, he also said.

“Presently, there are 20 training slots for baking; 25 for bartending; 20 for housekeeping; and 15 for food and beverage services”, Tauli added.

“When they go out, they are already equipped with skills, which they can use to start a new life”, he also said.

Aside from skills training, ALS program  and livelihood activities aimed at improving the lives of inmates are also being conducted  inside the jail under Tauli’s leadership.
