SP Balanga approves proposed 2026 city budget

The Sangguniang Panlungsod (SP) of Balanga City has approved the proposed City Government Annual Budget  for fiscal year 2026, with Vice Mayor Francis Garcia presiding over the session. Mayor Raquel Garcia attended the budget hearing, where she presented the proposed allocation for various city programs and initiatives.

SP members said the participation of Mayor Garcia  in budget hearings will become a regular practice to further strengthen the coordination between the executive and legislative branches.

City legislators also recognized the collaborative efforts of all departments involved in preparing the budget. SP also paid tribute to late City Budget Officer Joer De Mesa for her  dedication and service.
