SSS urges members to avail Loan Restructuring Program

BALANGA CITY, Bataan -The Social Security System (SSS) has urged members to avail of the Loan Restructuring Program of the agency.  

“The SSS launched the Loan Restructuring Program to provide delinquent members the opportunity to settle unpaid loans”, said Rex Ramiterre, SSS Mariveles Accounts Management Section Head, during his guesting at local radio station 91.1 Sikat FM.

He also said that they (members) should take this opportunity at once for the program will only be until April 2017.   

“Members can pay their past due loans and interest in installment basis. The program also offers condonation of loan penalties”, Ramitere added. 

“SSS members cannot avoid paying their overdue SSS loans since these are deducted from final benefit claims such as retirement, total permanent disability and death. Any delay in loan payments lead to accumulation of interest and penalties”, he further explained.

Ramiterre advised SSS members, who are interested to avail of the restructuring program, to visit any SSS office and to fill up the application form as well as to submit other requirements.

The form can be downloaded from their website www.sss.gov.ph, he added.
