CITY of BALANGA, Bataan – Continuous support from different national and local agencies as well private organizations keep pouring in relation to the 1 Million Trees for 1 Bataan Challenge (1M41B), an initiative program of the Provincial Government of Bataan thru the Provincial Government Environment and Natural Resources Office (PG-ENRO) in coordination with the Sangguniang Kabataan.
PG-ENRO head Engr. Vic Ubaldo gave updates on the 1M41B challenge during the flag raising ceremony held yesterday, May 6 at the Bataan People’s Center, this city.
The 1M41B Challenge aimed at encouraging Bataeños particularly the youth to understand the importance and participate in conserving and protecting the environment, is aligned to the province’s vision of achieving the highest human development index in the country without sacrificing ecological balance for the future generation.
Engr. Ubaldo likewise reported other accomplishments of his office such as: PG-ENRO has assisted in various barangays in Orani who planted Mangrove seedlings last February, partnered with the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) – Bataan in validating the trees planted in different areas in the province. To date, a total of 152,557 entries has been recorded in the 1M41B Challenge that will run until September 2019.
