Top 30 Iskolar ng Bataan per town awarded

BALANGA CITY, Bataan – The Top 30 Iskolar ng Bataan grantees from 11 municipalities and one city in the province were recognized in an awarding ceremony held this morning, March 23 at the Bataan People’s Center this City.

Outstanding undergraduate scholars of Bataan were ranked based on their General Weighted Average (GWA) and evaluated considering the difficulty of the program they are taking and their school’s grading system.

Alongside a certificate of recognition is cash incentive for each one of them, and additional incentives for those who ranked 1^st in each municipality.

Thomas del Rosario College (TRC) BS Computer Science student Jana Marielle S. Cruz from the Municipality of Orion was hailed as the Overall Top 1 Iskolar ng Bataan. She received an award thrice as those who belong to Top 30.

Conversely, Iskolar ng Bataan Coordinator Ramon R. Cañas Jr. said in an interview that the aspiring Top 30 scholars should have at least an academic load of 18 units.

Some of the scholars recognized are enrolled in schools outside Bataan.
