BALANGA CITY, Bataan – Vice Governor Cris Garcia is pushing for waste segregation.
“We should implement waste segregation. We should teach discipline”, the vice governor pointed out during a regular session here on Monday as members of the legislative body were deliberating for the concurrence of a resolution of a town to enter into a contract with a waste management company based in Clark.
It was learned that the Clark-based waste company does not require waste segregation but charges higher fee compared to a waste company offering the same services operating in Hermosa.
“We have a nearer company here in the province that offers the same services for lower fee but requires waste segregration”, said the vice governor.
“We should teach our constituents to segregate wastes. Balanga City is already doing it, and other towns in Bataan”, she pointed out.
She also told this writer, “with waste segregation, recyclable materials can also be separated for productive use”.
