Youth tapped in climate change adaptation


DENR Regional Director Francisco Milla, Jr., said that a total of 22,338 hectares of denuded lands throughout the region will be planted this rainy season alone as part of the government’s national greening program (NGP).

Director Milla is personally supervising the implementation of the NGP, going to all the provinces and cities in Central Luzon, in his bid to attain their goal. Marife Castillo, Community Environment and Natural Resources Officer in Olongapo City,  expressed optimism that they can fully comply with the directive of DENR as they are in full blast in the planting of trees with the help of local government units.
